¡Hola! Traduciendo un folleto turístico, me he encontrado con varios nombres propios a los que no encuentro una traducción oficial en español:

Derbyshire Dales

Muchos otros los he dejado con el nombre en inglés, pero es que con esos el autor hace juegos de palabras y demás. Agradecería que me echaseis una mano con alguno de ellos.

    I think it would be confusing to translate the names. If you are concerned about wordplay I think you will need to look at each case separately.
     
    Around here (southern Chile) many of our place-names were given and published originally in English, from 19th century hydrographic surveys. Dawson Island, Otway Sound, Brunswick Peninsula, etc. When we prepare guidebooks we typically put one name version or the other in (parens). For example, for an English language guidebook : Seno Otway (Otway Sound). In theory you could explain/translate a geographical feature of an English name while still providing the words that a tourist is actually going to encounter, such as ... Fulano Water (Seno Fulano).
