Buenas tardes.
Quisiera traducir la frase en negrita al inglés.

Contexto:
Le abollaron el coche y le robaron el estéreo.
Descargó toda la ira contra su mujer.

Mi intento:

He let/blew all his anger off [the steam] toward his wife.
He vented all his anger toward his wife.

¿Son correctos mis dos intentos?

Agradezco sus comentarios.

Muchas gracias por todas las sugerencias.

¿Alguno de éstos que extraje del diciconario suena bien o natural?

He let/blew all his anger off toward/against his wife.
He let/blew all his anger off the steam toward/against his wife.

Gracias Aztlaniano. Cierto que es "his". En todos los casos puse "her". Ya corregí.:)
La expresión "to blow off steam" es slang. Posiblmente no todos la conozcan o usen.
    O tal vez la descontextualicé.

He blew all his anger off steam with his wife.
He let all his anger off steam on his wife.

    ¿Tal vez sea correcto así?

    De WR

blow off steam v expr slang, figurative (vent emotions) desahogarse v prnl
(ES, coloquial) soltar vapor loc verb
I called my boyfriend and he let me blow off steam for an hour.
Llamé a mi novio y me dejó desahogarme durante una hora.

let off steam v expr figurative (vent one's anger) desahogarse v prnl
    desfogarse v prnl
    descargarse v prnl
    liberar estrés loc verb
I was annoyed and wanted to let off steam. There was a play area where the kids could let off steam.
    Estaba molesto y quería desahogarme.

Fíjate en que en los diccionarios es "blow/let off steam" sin más. Tampoco existe "anger off steam". El "steam" ya es la ira, figuradamente.

Gracias Aztlaniano. Ahora entendí la redundancia anger/steam, sentido recto/sentido figurado a la vez. No tenía claro lo que era "steam".
O digo "I let/blew off steam on my wife" o "I let/blew off all my anger on my wife".:)
