Welcome to the forum, nahel edda.

Would you be able to provide us with an example of "desvelar" used in this way, please? It doesn't seem to fit any of our existing senses, and it would help if we could see it in context.

"Si tomo café, me desvelo con mucha facilidad"
Desvelar: (impede sb's sleep/ not let them sleep)
translation: "If I take coffee, it'll perk me up very easily)
    /coffee keeps awake/

I think this usage is already reflected in the first entry:

desvelar vtr(no dejar dormir)keep [sb] awake vtr + adj
El llanto del bebé consiguió desvelar a todos.

In your example, it is the coffee that is keeping you awake; in the WR example, it is the baby's crying that is keeping you awake.

The phrase "perk up" does mean to "make someone more alert" (which could impact sleep patterns), but it doesn't necessarily mean "prevent from sleeping."
