A reporter asked Daniel Craig: "You have less time to develop your character, know who this guy is, because you’re running and jumping and fighting and doing stunts. Does that put more pressure on you?"
What is the meaning of "develop your character"?

Some actors will explore the character they play, his fictional life, motivations, psychology, etc. To develop a character, to "flesh it out," is to pay attention to all the other aspects of the character in order to add depth and substance. If an actor does this, presumably he can give a superior, truer, more nuanced, more enticing, and more believable performance. If Craig is busy doing stunts, he may have less time to think of what his character does asides from jumping and fighting.
