Apart of the humor, I agree that we need context. That being said, it might help to know that Residential Gateway sounds like a device sitting between a residential Internet and/or phone connection provider (not the same as ISP) such as cable or phone company, and the computer and/or phone network inside one's home (residence). If that is the case, I can't imageine plugging the power cord for another component on such a device. Finally, if it is the device's own power cord, "from" is incorrect.It sounds vaguely ironic, but I can´t begin to imagine the context.
...This is a message from a phone company with a suggested solution for a technical problem. This is the only context I have.
