Hi,
Can someone suggest a translation for "unplugged the power cord from your Residential Gateway"?

Thanks,

It sounds vaguely ironic, but I can´t begin to imagine the context.

    Thet's pretty funny, Txiri :D

Apart of the humor, I agree that we need context. That being said, it might help to know that Residential Gateway sounds like a device sitting between a residential Internet and/or phone connection provider (not the same as ISP) such as cable or phone company, and the computer and/or phone network inside one's home (residence). If that is the case, I can't imageine plugging the power cord for another component on such a device. Finally, if it is the device's own power cord, "from" is incorrect.

    Awaiting the context,
    Saludos

Thanks for your answers. I don't have much information. This is a message from a phone company with a suggested solution for a technical problem. This is the only context I have.

    Hola

    Saludos

Gracias por tu colaboración. Tienes razón. Esta es otra frase con la misma idea: Did you unplug the power cord from your Residential Gateway and plugged it back?

Also, I may hav been too hasty in condemning the use of "from"; chalk it up to my age ;). These days, power cables may be disconnected either at the outlet end or at the device end, and the latter may be handier.
