Nel tradurre il CV mi trovo in difficoltà con la titolazione di DIRETTORE OPERATIVO.

La descrizione del ruolo è la seguente:
"Guida delle Operazioni di Business e di Funzioni Aziendali, con Responsabilità per l’innovazione della Gestione Operativa Aziendale, della Strategia Commerciale e il Change Management, riportando al Presidente del Gruppo.
Rappresentante dell’area Europa (4 società) allo Strategic Planning Committee di gruppo assieme ai vertici delle consociate, per coordinare le azioni di sviluppo del business secondo una comune strategia.
Traduzione delle strategie nelle azioni operative sulle diverse aree aziendali, e Coordinamento Interfunzionale.
Funzioni a riporto diretto: Sviluppo Commerciale & Marketing - Acquisti & Logistica - IT - Qualità & Prodotto".

Il settore di riferimento è l'industria meccanica o l'industria in genere.

Sarei portato ad utilizzare OPERATIONAL DIRECTOR.

Ho già scartato DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS in quanto relativo specificatamente all'area della produzione e funzioni a questa strettamente legate.

Non mi convince neppure OPERATING DIRECTOR, perchè spesso è anche lui associato all'area produzione e funzioni a questa strettamente legate.

May you be more clear and let me understand why you suggest Operations Director?

The role under discussion is not chief of Operations (or COO -Chief Operations Officier, or Chief Operating Officier- for Americans).

Operations usually (dependly by company and Industry sector) involves the functions of: Production, Supply-Chain, Inventory, R&D, Purchasing, Quality).
The Operation Manager/Director doesn't have responsibility on Sales strategies, general strategy transaltion onto company areas, general efficiency enhancement, etc. OUT of his FUNCTIONAL role.

Ok, my role is hybrid enough. It is General Manager not yet. Something similar but a few lower.

About one thing I am sure: It isn't Operations Director.

" Leads Business Operations and Company Functions, with responsibility for the innovation of the Business Operational Management, Commercial Strategy and Change Management, reporting to the group’s President. Representative member of the European Area (4 companies) in the group’s Strategic Planning Committee, together with other controlled companies’ heads, to coordinate the business policies according to one common strategy.
Translation of strategies in operational frameworks plans onto company areas.

Dopo aver coinvolto dei colleghi Americani e Inglesi, ho adottato OPERATIONAL DIRECTOR per tradurre DIRETTORE OPERATIVO.
