Can't I use ' disagree' in the following sentence? Why? ( I know the best answer is ' differ', but I think ' disagree' is also possible. what do you think?)

Although our opinions on many things __________, we are good friends.

differ oppose disagree divide

    No, "differ" is the better word here. You could say:

    Although our opinions differ on many things, we are good friends.

    or

    Although we disagree on many things, we are good friends.
