displace/ replace - The old clock is <displaced> by the new

The following is of my own making.

1. The old clock was replaced by the new.

I'd like to know whether I can replace "replaced" with "displaced."

    The old clock has been replaced with a new one.

    I guess displaced with could also work, but I don't recall having seen this, so for that you better wait for confirmation from native speakers
