Hey guys!

When checking the definition of the word displaying... it says to show something to an audience or people. I am just wondering if my sentence is correct:

He has shown signs of displaying good posture during his piano lessons.

or should I say

He has displayed good posture during his piano lessons

I just thought that grammatically this might sound too long and I should write.. He has displayed good postures..... would this be better?

There's nothing grammatically wrong with your first sentence, but, as se16teddy points out, it doesn't mean the same as your second. Did he display good posture (not 'postures'), or did he show signs of displaying good posture?
