Hi Forum,
Here is a context: The mail carrier delivers the the household's mail to one central outside mailbox, but the various mail belongs to different household members. Which word do you use to get the mail to each household member?
a) Distribute the mail to each household member, or
b) Pass out the mail to each household member, or
c) Sort the mail for each household member?

Distribute is appropriate, but, in practice, I don’t think any of those words would normally be used. You’d just describe it as giving everyone their mail.
