dive with the moon in confidence

Senior Member
It's this series "Life in the wild".
This one is about sea turtles.
At the end, the narrator release this marvel,

"Once threatened, the turtle can once again dive with the moon in confidence."

Is he trying to be poetic here, or what?
Is it simply, "Turtles can dive now with confidence under the moon light"?
Or is it something more elaborate?

Thank you

You're correct on both counts. It is a bit flowery and poetic and the sentence carries the meaning you say it does.
