do a video vs. make a video

I thought 'make a video' was the only correct form, yet I watched a video on YT where a Canadian used 'do a video' :( Are they both acceptable?:(

I thought that if we create something, "do" doesn't fit. Is that an exception? Can you think of anything else that we can both "do" and "make"?
