Is it meaningful if I translate this to:

Travaux en cours ... n'éteindre pas svp!

p.s. I have to put a notice on a computer (in student lab) that I am accessing remotely, and I am afraid someone may restart it.

There are already a few threads on work in progress (it's always a good idea to check the dictionary first ;) ).

Zoullien's suggestion is very good. If you want to be more formal, you can also write: N'éteignez pas cet ordinateur svp.

    merci Quaeitur for the translation.

p.s. yes I always search on Google and then on WR forums before posting a thread on WR forums. There are quite a few thread on "work in progress" but I was afraid that this may translate to "construction work" and may not apply to computer ... anyways thanks a lot for the advice; surely I would be more careful in future :)
