Do we send a message to someone's email or to an id?

I have sent a message to your email id. A message was sent to my id.

You send a message to a person, not an email, or email id.

The simple and natural thing to say would be 'I've sent you an email'.
If we have to say that "I sent a mail to an anonymous email id by mistake then what do we need to say?"

What do you mean by anonymous here?
If you send an email to an address that does not exist (i.e. @<a non-existent address>) it will not be delivered.

It seems an odd way of saying I sent an email to someone else's address by mistake.
