Don't piss in your own swimming pool

"Ne pas pisser dans le votre piscine."

Is this correct?

    Please understand, I was asking if the French was correct, not if it was OK to piss in my own pool.

    Hi rb. Is the phrase to be translated literally, though? Is it not a figure of speech, meaning "don't do something that will bring harm to you, yourself"? In England, the slang expression is "Don't sh*t on your own doorstep"!!

    Hello,
    Perhaps it should be pointed out that "Don't piss/shit on your own doorstep" implies that it is OK to do it on someone else's. (Since swimming pools aren't a feature of most houses in the UK I suppose that version is either rare or AE - and probably not used by the majority there either).
