Hi, when you hear someone drilling, when you describe the sound, you say ‘it’s the drill sound’ or ‘it’s drilling sound’, do they mean the same thing? Which one is the right and natural use? Thanks

Thanks, Rover_KE, but can we say ‘I hate drill sound?’
If anything, I would take drill-sound to mean the sound of soldiers performing a drill (i.e. marching practice).
