Good evening!

I am not sure that I understant the following sentence correctly.

The producer is not responsible for incidental damage or damage due to use of the tools as well as from violation of this manual.

I understant it as two variants:

  1. The producer is not responsible for incidental damage or damage caused by use of the tools as well as (resulting, arising) from violation of this manual. The damage results from the violation of this manual.
  2. The producer is not responsible for incidental damage or damage caused by use of the tools as well as due to violation of this manual. The damage is because of the violation of this manual.
Thank you.

This is a statement from a manufacturer of tools?

"Violation of this manual" sounds a little silly to me. The manual can't be violated.

The "as well as" introduces a separate point.

The producer is not responsible for:

    1) Incidental damage
    2) Damage caused by using the tools
    3) Damage caused by not following the manual's instructions (my interpretation)
