    Dummy, in this context, means to 'imitate' something - you fool your opponent into thinking you're doing one thing when, in fact, you are doing something else. You might make it look as though you're going to pass the ball past the right of your opponent, but then keep possession and run to their left side, hopefully having fooled them into leaving you space to do so.
