Hi there!

I'm getting quite confused with the above phrase and how to properly translate it into English.

full sentence: il se produit quelquefois entre eux des frictions d'un caractère en général sans gravité

my try: it sometimes creates frictions between them of a nature that is generally not serious

eek!

merci d'avance! very grateful for any help!

I would say 'Sometimes there's a bit of friction between them, but it's usually nothing serious' / 'but it's never anything serious' / 'but never anything of a serious nature'.
