The context is a vacuum system for a Bulk Handling System of a coal-fired power plant. The whole sentence is "The vacuum facility is designed for dust evacuation only and it is not suitable to evacuate coal lumps".
In the air pollution business in the USA, we call it "particulate matter". If we carry this idea over to Italian, it would be called "Evacuazione della materia particolata". We could also say "Abatemento della materia particolata".
But I don't know if this wording in Italian is what the Italian Air Pollution Business uses.
