dwell on something

Senior Member
Hi. I would like to know if I can use ''dwell on'' for something that is not only sad/bad/unpleasant but also for something that is happy or neutral ?

For example : dwelling on yesterday's footbal match (our victory), dwelling on a happy day/situation, dwelling on something interesting (neutral -it's not unpleasant, nor happy, just interesting), dwelling on something that was funny.

Thank You :)

Yes, you can. "Dwell on" means to "talk about something", I think the phrase is neutral.

I would only tend to use it when referring to more negative experiences.
