Hello everybody,

I wanted to know if we say:

An eagle's cry, an eagle's scream or an eagle's screech?

Thank you very much!

    Bon jour!
It depends on the context, I think. Either scream or screech may give an unpleasant sound that a fairy would usually hear from a banshee, whereas cry doesn't.
    (It's just my own opinion.)

Is the eagle in pain? If so, I'd say "scream" or "screech" - it's almost personifying the bird, and so evokes more sympathy for it. On the other hand, for any other loud vocalisation the bird makes, I'd use "cry" or, perhaps better, "call". "Cry" is more dramatic, but "call" is a more general term that is perhaps more scientifically correct. :)

No, the eagle is not at all in pain ^^

I just wanted to know what was the right therm to describe the sound the eagle does ^^ Because in French, there's a specific word for that but it doesn't exist in English. Thanks!
