Wild woman ‘90s style: Sure, I didn’t go to the gym this morning and I ate an egg with --- get this --- buttered white toast! ---- cartoonist Libby Reid

What does this sentence mean?
Women who don't go to the gym and eat egg with buttered white toast are wild?

Thank you very much!

It's a tongue-in-cheek reference to women who want to stay slim/fit/skinny. Those women go to the gym and they don't eat eggs (cholesterol) and they don't eat white bread (a non-nutritious carbohydrate), especially with fattening butter. It's a fitness-and-diet thing.

So someone who is wild -- someone living on the wild side, on the side of personal freedom and devil-may-care behavior -- would do all of those things (as modest as they sound to normal people, which is why it's humorous).
