económico con la verdad = economical with the truth

I have just seen an email with the the words 'económico con la verdad', which appears to be the equivalent of 'economical with the truth', used as a euphemism, and, not for the first time, I found that Spanish and English seem to have almost identical sayings.

What other ways are there of indicating that someone is. for example: 'lying through his teeth'?

As for your example, we say Mientes con todos los dientes.

Yes Speedier, pero puede haber una leve diferencia:

"Económico con la verdad", no necesariamente dice mentiras, sino que no dice toda la verdad.

"Mientes con todos los dientes", sí dice mentiras.

Thanks for all of the input, and while I realise that being economical with the truth, or wasting it for that matter I suppose, doesn't necessarily mean lying, http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/127700.html, this often seems to be what is suggested when the expression is used.
