Jahrhundert in England, der Satz lautet: "A hot eel pie, some cheese and bread, and a bottle of sack awaited on a table by the fire."

Hm.

DANKE!

    Eel pie = eine Aalpastete

Keine Ungewöhnlichkeit im 17. Jahrhundert in England, ich denke:)

    My pleasure, dunu...

(Sorry for my awful written German, too. I use it as a research language and have no problem at all reading it, but speaking and writing is always more difficult. Guess I need to spend more time in this forum:))

It was not awful, in fact it was almost perfect ;) At the end of a sentence we say: "denke ich" (instead of "ich denke"), that´s all. My English is far more disastrous, I guess  Have a nice day!
