Hello,

Can you help me correct these sentences?

  • There will be elections in Mexico. (Or, can you say: "Mexico will have elections"?)
  • I think there will be less delinquency (or, should I say crime?) and unemployment in Mexico OR Delinquency and unemployment will diminish in Mexico.
  • I think Mexico will grow in its economical, political and sports aspects.
Thanx

Sentences 1 and 2 are fine (you can say either delinquency or crime but they don't mean quite the same thing - delinquency is often petty crime (drunkenness, graffiti etc)).

3 - no you wouldn't say that. I suggest "I think Mexico will grow in economic, political and sporting terms".

Or: I think (the rates of) delinquency and unemployment in Mexico will decline.

Tim's version is ok but may be a slightly subjective rewording of the original sentence.
