Dear readers,
I would like to know if you always say, "Electric bulbs" (= Electric light bulbs) which may be inferred from the following entry in the WR dictionary:

You use electric in front of nouns to talk about particular machines or devices that use electricity.

However, read elsewhere that the two words overlap - apart from certain idioms.
