Hello everyone,
I was wondering this morning while reading a 'Litte Miss' book about something.
In a sentence it's written 'he always ate there on Tuesdays' but as far as I can remember I was taught that we could use present tense for something that happens regularly.
So why is the author using the preterit to describe this habit and not the present?
Thanks a lot for the upcoming answers, have a wonderful day/ weekend.
