Hello folks !

I was just wondering if maybe you could help me with this. How would you translate the following sentence?

My tries :

It is very likely that the plane will not take off.

OR

It is very likely that the plane is not taking off.

I'm a bit lost. Thank you for your help!

Both of those are correct. If you're talking about the likelihood of a plane taking off in the future, you could use any one of several future forms. We'd probably use the 'will' or 'going to' future:

It is very likely that the plane will not take off.
    or
It is very likely that the plane is not going to take off.

Your other example, using the present continuous is not taking as a future, is also possible. However, it is less clear and we might avoid it so as to prevent confusion with a present tense meaning.
