en positivo

Hi guys

I was wondering how I should interpret the part below in bold. Does "en positivo" refer to the verb "concluir" (the index finished the session positively) or does it refer to "tercera sesión consecutiva" (the third consecutive positive session)?

Thanks in advance

"The index ended their third consecutive session positively (with positive results)".

So it doesn't mean that the other two sessions were als positve? I actually don't understand why they put emphasis on the facts that it's a consecutive sesion?

it could very well mean that all three consecutive sessions ended with a positive result.

A session is a trading day. For three consecutive trading days, the IBEX 35, (an index of stock) was up. That means that each day, at closing, the value of the IBEX was higher than the closing of the prior day.
