'encircle' their young

Hello,


Can I say,

Antelopes keep their young in a center of a herd to protect them from predators. So , whenever a predator approaches they can encircle their young.

    Sounds right to me. I knew that musk oxen did this but I didn't knox it about antelopes. Thankyou.
