I went there at the end of July( )beginning of August.

What would be the best punctuation to use in above sentence? Comma? Slash? Dash?

Slash = somewhere around (approximately) the end of July or beginning of August.
Dash = from the end of July until the beginning of August. (e.g. from the last week of July until the first week of August.)
    A comma doesn't work.
