Entrare in punta di piedi

Buonasera,
chiedo il vostro aiuto per la traduzione di questa frase: "Il nuovo manager è entrato in azienda in punta di piedi". Cioè ha mantenuto più o meno lo stato delle cose, cercando di evitare grossi stravolgimenti.
Mi è parso di capire che in inglese on one's tiptoes abbia solo un significato letterale e quindi lo eviterei, ma vorrei avere la vostra conferma.
Per quanto riguarda la traduzione, io proverei con: "The new manager entered the company with discretion/discreetly", però temo che non si capisca quello che voglio dire. Consigli?

To tiptoe around someone is a common way of say someone is acting very carefully. Also to tiptoe your way as in “The new manager tiptoed his way into the company.” where the meaning would be figurative. But “the new manager’s entry into the firm was very discreet” is also good.

Just as further information, another way of saying it could be that "the new manager trod very cautiously...".

You could also use the expression "to rock the boat"

"The new manager stepped into the company without rocking the boat", for instance.

It's a very common and clear expression.
