How to translate this sentence:

Oh My God fue el single de presentación de su **esperadísimo** disco Chinese Democracy que salió en 1998 y ***todavía no hemos podido disfrutar del álbum entero***

Oh my God was the opening single of the ***long awaited*** Cd 'Chinese Democracy? that was published in 1998 and ***still we do not have enjoyed the entire album***

--->??? sounds quite weird right?
 
    • "long-awaited" sounds fine to me... though I would change a few things:

    Oh my God was the first single off the long-awaited CD 'Chinese Democracy', which was released in 1998 and we still haven't been able to enjoy the whole/entire album.
     
    Yes, Aztlaniano, those are other good translations, but given the context, people have been waiting for Guns'n'Roses' new album to come out now for ten years, so I think that "long awaited" (not to mention long overdue... hmmm, maybe you should use that one dtowndo) is appropriate here.

    Yes, of course you're right. Even if in 1998 it was merely "much awaited", by now it certainly is safe to say "long awaited.
     
    Ok thank you guys, I'm gonna use the expression 'long awaited' I guess it suits better with the content...

    Anyways, I see u r both here in Madrid atm...

    I can give u a lil advice for the weekend :)

    Saturday from 11 pm - 2 am there will be a great opportunity to meet foreign people and have cheap drinks @ DOLCE MADRID

    Its a nice location bewteen Alsonso Martinez and Tribunal. If u say that u r on the facebook list you can pay 7 € including 2 free drinks and each other drink just costs 1 euro...

    Thats really nice and afterwards we all go together to another place...
     
    That's kind of you to invite us, but I have a double birthday on Sat... does this get together happen every sat? If so maybe I'll check it out another time. take care

    Thanks, but that's past my bedtime. I have to work early Sunday a.m. Maybe some other weekend.
