There is a subtle but important difference between "outstanding credit" and "credit exposure." As an example, if a borrower has a $100 line of credit and has borrowed $50, the
outstanding credit is $50 but the
credit exposure is $100, because the borrower has the right to borrow up to $100.
In your text, credit exposure is the proper translation. I'm sure of this - I used to be a banker.
