Hi, would it be correct to say the following:

They conducted a series of experiments to estimate probability of nuclei fission.

The idea is that the experiments were not on nuclei fission, but just to find out whether nuclear fission was possible or not.

    This sentence would look fine to me if you made it clear that they - not the experiments - estimated the probability. I think you should also add an article and use "nuclear fission" instead of "nuclei fission": They conducted a series of experiments that enabled them to estimate the probability of nuclear fission.
