Estonian: vihmavari vs kaitsevari

    Could somebody please explain to me the difference between these two words for "umbrella". Do they refer to different kinds of umbrellas?
    You have to show me your dictionary one day, because there seem to be so interesting entries...;)
    Well, "vihmavari" is "umbrella", the thing you use when it is raining... When it comes to "kaitsevari", then this word keeps me puzzled. Kaitsevari...ummm...intriguing:confused: I would think that "kaitsevari" is somewhat metaphorical word used when someone is protecting someone, being someone`s shield ("kaitsevari").
