Could you confirm, please if I my translation is OK:
Here's the French sentence: "Nous sommes désolés de ce contretemps et vous prions d'accepter toutes nos excuses"
My try is simply: Please accept our apologies for the setback.Is it enough? I don't like all the sophisticated and long French polite expressions:confused:

    I think your attempt is just fine.

    To go a little deeper though, you had a setback or a mishap which caused the person you are writing to to experience either a delay or an inconvenience. To me it is politer to apologize for what you caused me. For example:

    We're deeply sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. Please accept our sincere apologies.
