In Chinese language, the word “水牛” refers to a water buffalo . And, there is a coincidence that this Chinese word is composed by two characters, "水" and "牛", meaning "water" and "buffalo" respectively.
So, is the construction of meaning in the word "kalabaw" similar with that in the word “水牛”?
