    Hello everyone!

I'm starting to learn Portuguese and want to focus on the European variety, I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good European-Portuguese to English dictionary... all the ones that I found on amazon seem to be Brazilian, I wouldn't mind otherwise but I have been doing research and know that there are substantial differences in spelling.

    Obrigado!

You might find Dicionário Português-Inglês from Porto Editora useful. It's one if not the biggest publisher in Portugal. Unfortunately you can't use it online all the time. You can only consult 5 words each week. Otherwise you'll have to buy it.
The Dicionário da Língua Portuguesa can be consulted whenever you want to.

Thank you for all the useful recommendations, however, I was talking about a physical copy of a book. Do either of you know if a simple European Portuguese - English dictionary is available in print, rather than only online?

    Thanks again!

I suggest The Oxford PaperBack Portuguese Dictionary (P-E, E-P)

P.S. Sorry, this is also Brazilian Portuguese.

The Dictionary from Porto Editora I've typed above can be bought as a physical copy. ;)

Thanks very much! Unfortunately the Oxford dictionary is mostly aimed towards only Brazilian Portuguese , so say the reviews. I'll check out where I can but the porto edition !

Estou fechando, já temos a informação e já está virando propaganda não permitida nestes fóruns.
