    En chile puedes decir:

    Ex pareja
    Ex novio/a
    Antigua pareja

Cualquiera de las formas tiene el mismo significado...

I presume you heard un antiguo novio, meaning that there have been other ex-boyfriends in between, otherwise mi antiguo novio implying it is the one-and-only (and "ancient") ex-boyfriend would sound strange, at least in Spain. Here you might also hear mi ex, just like that, without the word novio/pareja.

Thanks MA in South Florida I have heard mi , su , un/una and el/la antiguo/a novio/a. But I hear ex more often.

In the US it is common to say “my ex” when referring to the ex wife or ex husband

Ex old lady and ex old man is another informal way to refer to the ex wife/husband:)

    O simplemente "mi ex".
