/story about Jewish family / refugees in the late 1930s)
1.The story is about a girl called Yael and her experiences being an immigrant child and therefore having a foreign name.
2. The story is about a girl called Yael and her experience(s) with being an immigrant child and therefore having a foreign name.
3. The story is about a girl called Yael and her experience(s) of being an immigrant child and therefore having a foreign name.
Not sure about the preposition / experience(s)
To me, the second version (2) sounds most natural. What do native speakers so and are the other sentences okay as well? And is it experiences or experience? Thanks!
