"Exploitation of equipment"?

Is that expression still used today? I'm asking since I've met exploit most often in the meaning of 'abuse' (like in human trafficking and forced labor)..

    You’re quite right. Most people, I think, if asked the meaning of the word “exploit”, would understand it as a negative action.

    So while it’s perfectly correct to use “exploitation” to mean, for example, putting a new product or technology into practical use, it would perhaps be wise to only do so if that meaning is crystal clear.
