Extra subject after the relative pronoun

    The second 'it' is essential, but 'that' could be omitted to give 'It's so silly, it makes people laugh.'
    The consturction is 'something/somebody is so something (that) it + verb clause',
    I have put a comma instead of 'that' to represent the slight pause in speech.
