A: Is your house on an alley or a street?

    - To answer this question, can I say "inside an alley / on an alley but it's extremely easy to find"?

    Thanks so much

    Dear SwissPete and other members!

    - Can I change the question like this?

"Is your house in an alley or on a street"? :)

    Thanks a lot!

    Dear members and Teachers,

    - Could I say "Is your house in an alley or on a street" instead of "Is your house on an alley or a street?

    Thanks very much

    Yes!

Although to my mind, "in an alley" implies that one must turn in to the alley to reach the home, whereas "on an alley" implies that the home is on a street at the corner of an alley.
