Buongiorno a tutti,
devo tradurre dall'italiano all'inglese la frase seguente:

SISTEMA DI FACCIATA STRUTTURALE CURVA COMPOSTA DA MONTANTI E TRAVERSI PER APPLICAZIONI CIVILI E INDUSTRIALI

(siamo nell'ambito di curvatura profilati...)

il dubbio più grosso ce l'ho per le facciate strutturali. any suggestions?

    • Why structural glazing ?? I would say "Curved structural facade system composed of uprights and crossbars for" etc. etc. Such a system could possibly include glazed elements but glass is not mentioned in the original?
     
    No - I do not think so.

    Facciata vetro strutturale = structural glazing, "facciata strutturale" is simply "structural facade" which I repeat may or may not be composed wholly of or partly in glass. (Or aluminium, composite etc etc.)
     
    I agree, maybe, there is an element of slang here, let's say, of interpretation (maybe because of the fact that a great part or the structural facades is made of glass).
    But such an interpretation do exists :eek:

    in the meanwhile i had the chance to ask the client and also had a look at its competitors sites. it really looks like structural glazing in this sector is the correct translation for FACCIATA STRUTTURALE.
