faire capter

Bonjour à tous !

Dans un livre, un homme s'adresse à un enfant par télépathie et je peux pas traduire cette phrase en anglais:

" Ne pleure pas, je t'en prie! Ça brouille les transmissions, je n'arriverai plus à me faire capter!"
(si l'enfant continue à pense à lui, cela se fait qu'il le capte)

"Don't cry please, it jams/interferes with the transmission. I won't ??? "

Je sais que "capter" veut dire "get, pick up" mais je peux pas trouver le mot suitable pour ce contexe. Donc, pouvez-vous m'aider traduire correctement cette phrase?

Merci d'avance !

Le dialogue continue comme ça :

    - "Comment ça se fait?"
    - "Comment ça se fait que tu me captes?"

So, "My signal will get lost" and "I can't get through" don't match with the following sentences. Maybe "perceive?" Nah, not sure at all!

    Not easy at all.
Since telepathy doesn't exist (well, not to my knowledge anyway :D) there aren't any set expressions, so I think you'll have to use the vocabulary for radio transmission.
    Something like :

je n'arriverai plus à me faire capter! I won't be able to transmit / send any more (messages). / No one will be able to receive my transmissions (???)
Comment ça se fait que tu me captes? How come you're receiving me ?

Hope this helps. (not brilliant ... :()

I thought of using the vocab for radio tranmission, but i was not sure at all. It seems that this is the only way for now to translate this phrase. Thanks for your help, anyway! :) And by any chance, if any new/better ideas come to your mind, please keep me posted, i'll be waiting!
    Merci bcp!
