Hello everybody,

I would like to translate the title of a children's book entitled: Je fais mes marques. I cannot think of anything that would really sound English!
All suggestions welcome,

Thank you!

    Hi David,

I don't think there is a wordplay there. As it is a children's book, I understand that "je fais mes marques" means that "I do my first learning", meaning it is the basics of my education, if this makes sense! :)

    Thanks David!

Yes, it is the same structure: je fais mes premiers pas, but it is about books for very young children to help them develop their reading skills (before they actually learn how to read). So, these books are to awake their awareness of language and words. So, it is called "je fais mes marques", I start my educational journey by learning, I learn very important things (basics)... but I just don't know how to translate this expression!

Thank you very muuch Valsky, I think I'll go for My First Steps in Learning, something along that idea. It is a shame I couldn't find an analogous expression in English! But I'll keep looking.

Thank you both for your help!!!
