Please explain, is there any difference between phrases "I got into conversation with" and "I fell into conversation with"?

Thanks.

Ok. In this case please consider following sentences: "I fell into conversation with some guys from New York" and "I got into conversation with some guys from New York".

    Thanks.

Falling sounds accidental in its literal sense and in this transferred sense. I got into conversational might be more intentional: it is possible that I planned in advance to have a conversation with the guys.
