The dog greets him/me/its owner happily.
The dog runs up wagging its tail.
The dog gives them/me/you an enthusiastic welcome.
    Etc, etc....

    Hi,
how do you say "fare le feste al padrone" in English referred to a dog?
A dog can greet or welcome the master by wagging the tail, jumping up, licking I know... but is there a more colloquial specific expression?
    thanks

We say here that our dogs would "lick you to death". Is this what you mean? :)

I do not know ...if this is what you say when your dog jumps and welcomes you...

    Grazie a tutti, veramente!!!

A dog is sometimes said to fawn on people (= displays very friendly behavior by rubbing itself against you).

Dogs fawn on people (i.e., they display very friendly behavior by rubbing themselves against someone)... or, in a more colloquial style, jump all over you.
